Microbial Control in Greenhouses by Spraying Slightly Acidic Electrolyzed Water

چکیده
Slightly acidic electrolyzed water (SAEW) has strong bactericidal activity and is relatively safe compared to other disinfectants. In vitro exposure of Escherichia coli Bacillus subtilis SAEW at a chlorine concentration more than 25 mg/L for 3 min completely killed bacterial cells. When was sprayed in greenhouse around 30 mg/L, the viability airborne microorganisms significantly reduced. On hand, spray did not affect growth eggplant cucumber plants greenhouse. influence soil or plant leaf surface. could be used as substitute tap increase relative humidity during daytime, which expected photosynthesis. spraying reduces improves environmental conditions

Airborne Particulate Matter and Bacteria Reduction from Spraying Slightly Acidic Electrolyzed Water in an Experimental Aviary Laying-Hen Housing System
Compared to conventional cage systems for laying hens, aviary housing systems generally have much higher concentrations of airborne dust and bacteria due to generation of bioaerosols by the hens from their litter access. Hence solutions to reduce these health-degrading agents are required to safeguard the indoor environment in such systems. Spraying slightly acidic electrolyzed water (SAEW) has...

Sanitizing effectiveness of slightly acidic electrolyzed water (SAEW) and fumaric acid (FA) at different dipping temperatures (25-60 °C), times (1-5 min), and concentrations (5-30 ppm for SAEW and 0.125%-0.5% for FA) on pure cultures of two Gram positive pathogens Staphylococcus aureus (SA) and Listeria monocytogenes (LM) and two Gram negative pathogens Escherichia coli O157:H7 (EC) and Salmone...
متن کاملEfficiency of slightly acidic electrolyzed water for inactivation of Salmonella enteritidis and its contaminated shell eggs.
The efficiency of slightly acidic electrolyzed water (SAEW) at different temperatures (4, 20 and 45 degrees C) for inactivation of Salmonella enteritidis and it on the surface of shell eggs was evaluated. The bactericidal activity of SAEW, sodium hypochlorite solution (NaClO) and acidic electrolyzed water (AEW) to inactivate S. enteritidis was also compared. SAEW with a pH value of 6.0-6.5 used...
متن کاملRemoval of Foodborne Pathogen Biofilms by Acidic Electrolyzed Water
Biofilms, which are complex microbial communities embedded in the protective extracellular polymeric substances (EPS), are difficult to remove in food production facilities. In this study, the use of acidic electrolyzed water (AEW) to remove foodborne pathogen biofilms was evaluated. We used a green fluorescent protein-tagged Escherichia coli for monitoring the efficiency of AEW for removing bi...
متن کاملSpraying hatching eggs with electrolyzed oxidizing water reduces eggshell microbial load without compromising broiler production parameters.
An experiment was conducted to determine whether spraying hatching eggs with electrolyzed oxidizing (EO) water would decrease eggshell microbial load and hence improve hatchability, chick quality, and broiler growth performance. Eggs were collected from a broiler breeder flock; half the eggs were sprayed with EO water and the other half were left untreated. Enterobacteriaceae and total aerobic ...
